My name is Bilyana Drbohlav, and I am a psychologist and cognitive behavioural therapist under supervision. I graduated in Psychology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, where I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.
In my practice, I aim to create a calm, safe environment where you can feel seen, heard and understood. I believe that positive change begins with authentic connection, openness and mutual trust.
Training and professional development
Since 2022, I have been training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) at the Institute for Ecology of Thinking, accredited by the Bulgarian Association for Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy. I also continue my professional development through seminars and training led by Bulgarian and international specialists in Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and Schema Therapy, including Remco van der Wijngaart, Professor Paul Salkovskis and Eshkol Rafaeli.
I am a member of the Bulgarian Association of Psychologists, registration No. 102977.
My main interests lie in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy, as well as Sports Psychology and helping athletes strengthen their motivation before competitions. Having competed professionally in several sports myself, I believe that one of the greatest challenges to successful performance is often the limits we set ourselves. Working with a psychologist can make a meaningful difference in this area.

I have worked with both children and adults as an English teacher at a private language centre, and have also worked in corporate roles at several large companies. This varied experience has taught me patience, adaptability and how to connect with people from different backgrounds. My current practice focuses primarily on individual psychological work with adults and couples therapy.
I value the balance between work and rest, the connection with nature and the healthy lifestyle. I try to implement these values in my work with clients.
I know how difficult it can be to seek help, and I’m glad you’ve taken this step. You are already one step closer to regaining a sense of control over your life!
